REVIEW | Jack Daniel's and Coca-Cola collaboration was not such a bad decision
That was me lying to myself when I was asked to taste and review the new Jack Daniel's and Coca-Cola Alcoholic Ready-To-Drink spirit cooler.
The package sent to me had five Jack Daniels Coca-Cola Zero and one Jack Daniel’s mixed with original Coca-Cola. They all come in 5% alcohol 330ml slim cans with both brands highly visible. The blend had been available in other countries but only launched in South Africa in July. Shall we get to it?Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola have apparently been a medley that worked well for years.
Before giving him the rest of the can, I made him taste the Jack Daniel’s mixed with the original Coca-Cola, and he was conflicted as to which he wanted more. Giving his verdict, he said he could taste both brands 50/50 on both flavours, however, the one mixed with zero was sweeter. Tell me why he begged me to the point of going on one knee so that I could give him another can. I did not expect that … it gave me a good laugh.
