After cancelling all the remaining dates on Tenacious D‘s tour in July, Jack Black told Variety on Tuesday that the comedy duo 'will be back.'
premiere, Black said, “We need to take a break. Everybody needs a break sometime.” He added, “And we’ll be back.”. “The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake. I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anymore,” he wrote. “What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret and pain I’ve caused.
In a separate statement, Black said that he “was blindsided” by Gass’ comments and that he “would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.” Black also announced thaton Tuesday, Black was asked if he had spoken to his longtime friend and bandmate since. “Yeah, we’re friends,” replied Black. “That hasn’t changed.
