BREAKING: Jacinda Ardern to resign as prime minister of New Zealand
Ms Arden said she no longer had “enough in the tank” to do the job “justice”, adding: “I am human, politicians are human”.January 19, 2023 12:32 amIn a statement Ms Ardern said she would stand down no later than 7 February, saying: “I know what this job takes. And I know that I no longer have enough in the tank to do it justice.”
She called for a general election on 14 October, adding she still believed New Zealand Labor would win.
