J.J. Abrams is exec producing a four-part documentary series on our fascination with UFOs for Showtime
The series will look at what clandestine influence the American government, lucrative private companies and the military may have in shielding the truth behind extraterrestrial phenomena to further their own agendas.
It comes after bombshell reporting from the New York Times in 2017 and the New Yorker more recently, which highlighted how the Pentagon began taking the existence of UFOs seriously after footage emerged that navy pilots had been seeing unidentified objects in the sky.
