In September, 2022, when the state attorney general, Letitia James, first brought the civil charges against the Trumps, Ivanka was a co-defendant. In June of this year, however, an appeals court dismissed her from the case on the ground that the claims against her were barred by the state’s statute of limitations. After making repeated efforts to avoid testifying, or to delay her appearance, she appeared at the trial as a reluctant witness for the government.
” A key difference between the two loan offers from Deutsche Bank was that the one from the private-wealth department required a personal guarantee from Trump and the one from the securities division didn’t.
