Channique Sterling-Brown told the ECHO how her character's 'world turns upside down' in an exclusive interview
Coronation Street's Channique Sterling-Brown has shared the way she hopes her onscreen counterpart will get revenge on Joel Deering. The soap star is renowned for her role as Dee Dee Bailey on the Cobbles. The character is at the centre of the show's major storyline as her fiancé has emerged as Weatherfield's latest villain. Dee Dee is completely unaware of Joel's true sinister colours as he tries to keep up appearances as a respectable lawyer.
Joel's reign of terror looks set to continue for the time-being as she said: 'There are more twists and turns in store. We're seeing them prepare for this wedding. Both of them are excited for wedding bells.' Channique remained tight-lipped on whether her character will get to experience her big day , but did confirm Joel will be exposed at some point.
