ITV Coronation Street's Millie Gibson unveiled as next Doctor Who companion
BBC Children in Need audiences were treated to an exciting surprise this evening as Doctor Who's next companion was revealed.
The iconic role has featured famous faces including Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, and Jenna-Louise Coleman. And as star of Netflix's Sex Education Ncuti steps into the Tardis as the fifteenth doctor, he will be joined by a brand new face. The Coronation Street actress, who stepped out of the Tardis on the BBC stage, is best known for her role as Kellie Neenan on the ITV soap. Millie has also appeared in dramas Butterfly and Love, Lies and Records .
"It is a gift of a role, and a dream come true, and I will do everything to try and fill the boots the fellow companions have travelled in before me. And what better way to do that than being by the fabulous Ncuti Gatwa’s side, I just can’t wait to get started.”
