Pizza and pasta lovers are in mourning this week as news of the Italian restaurant Capparelli's shuttering its location in the Thousand Oaks Shopping Center spreads. A sign recently posted at the restaurant at 2923 Thousand Oaks Drive informed guests of the closure. 'Capparelli's with great heartbreak and sorrow regret to inform our customers/family that we will be closing our doors,' the notice read.

The Thousand Oaks location was preceded in closure by a Capparelli's near the South Texas Medical Center on Huebner Road in 2019. By Tuesday afternoon, hundreds of comments expressing sorrow and dismay about the Thousand Oaks Capparelli's closure had circulated across social media platforms.
