An Italian company plans a restomod of the Marcello Gandini-designed Maserati Shamal coupe of the 1990s.

, and derived from the Biturbo to help reduce costs. Performance included a 0-60 mph time in a little over five seconds, which was quick for the time. Still, less than 400 were built by the time production was wound up in 1995, and very few of those made the trip to the U.S.Italian company Modena Automobili hasn't forgotten the Shamal and plans to launch a restomodded version, the design for which was previewed this month.
