After first getting its start back in 2003, the story of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow has now continued across 5 installments.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Now, in a recent interview with LA Times, Mazin teases that he has been working on Pirates of the Caribbean 6 with co-writer Ted Elliot, the screenwriter who penned the original movie and two sequels. While work on the project has been paused due to the ongoing WGA strike, Mazin teases that his pitch for the film is quite different than what's come before.
“We pitched it and thought there’s no way they’re buying it, it’s too weird. And they did! And then he wrote a fantastic script and the strike happened and everyone’s waiting around.”
