While the team’s lease at Huntington Bank Field is up in 2028, the Browns will build a state-of-the-art facility in Brook Park.

The city of Cleveland has not yet commented on the news. Officials will hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 17.Earlier this year, the Cleveland Browns shared renderings of their vision for Brook Park. From a sports perspective, there’s two things to consider here: One on the field and one off the field. When to comes to on the field, this will probably do away with inclement weather to the point where it’s a big impact on a game.

If it’s a retractable roof, you can still have it open on nice days and feel outdoors. Having it closed does lend to a home field advantage because it’s just louder.“It was unbelievably loud. That can only help the Browns,” he said. However, General Manager Andrew Berry, when pressed on this issue back in West Virginia, said sure he would prefer to be indoors because it was just better for the players.

Off the field, this puts the city of Cleveland in the market to potentially host a Super Bowl or the Final Four. Some people might roll their eyes at hearing the Super Bowl in Cleveland, but Detroit has hosted two Super Bowls and even Jacksonville hosted a Super Bowl.
