It’s not ‘settled’, says sister of student allegedly punched by teacher FMTNews
The student was allegedly punched in the face by a teacher for wearing baju Melayu to an Aidilfitri gathering at her school.
Earlier today, acting Kuching police chief Merbin Lisa was reported as saying that the report lodged yesterday had been retracted, with the issue amicably resolved by both parties. “So we lodged another report to be used in a report to the Sarawak education department, not for the police to take further action,” she said.Annisa said her family wanted the state education department to investigate the alleged assault as they wanted the teacher to be relieved of his duties.
