To celebrate, we chatted with Schlott to find out what first attracted him to Detroit-style pizza, and why he is one of the very few shops in Northeast Ohio that serves it, let alone specializes in it.

If you have really good tomatoes, you don’t need a lot of herbs or other ingredients to make a truly spectacular sauce,” he said.
