Ghost Rider is probably the greatest legacy character in Marvel Comics, as many people have held the title of Spirit of Vengeance, and all of them offer something new and interesting to the character’s wider lore. Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, and Robbie Reyes are the most popular incarnations of Ghost Rider, but they’re far from the only ones.
Close Six months later, the demon-possessed Nazis take down an American aircraft, where Sergeant Sal Romero is sitting with his fellow soldiers, readying himself for battle. The aircraft goes down, and everyone on the plane dies except for Romero. The demon notices him and decides to kill Romero itself, though it doesn’t stick.
What’s interesting is that Thunderbolts: Doomstrike will be something of a sequel to Hellhunters, as the person who is putting together the new Thunderbolts team is the Winter Soldier aka Bucky Barnes, who knows Ghost Rider from their time fighting together during WWII in Hellhunters.
