Driver warning as parking fees double in tourist hotspot just weeks after city increased fines for violators
DRIVERS in a popular seaside town have been left outraged after being forced to pay a new "sunset tax" for their parking.
A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council said: "The council last increased its car park tariffs in 2016, meaning fees have stayed the same for eight years. In that time, the cost of goods and services has increased significantly due to rising inflation. "Car parking tariffs as well as charging times from across many other North Wales local authorities were considered when setting these new fees.
