Pickett and the Steelers' offense couldn't have asked for more through two preseason games, but they aren't buying the hype yet.
“We aren’t minimizing that there are some things that we are building on and stacking on, but it is just the preseason,” offensive coordinator Matt Canada said. “We all know that. Every team we play has agendas and things they want to look at, too.”Pickett’s good preseason last year earned him a backup spot for the first four games of the year, and once he was thrust into the lineup, he struggled for a month.

Pickett and Canada called it “vanilla,” which makes you wonder what happens when the entire playbook is open and there is a bona fide game plan.
Will Canada revert to last year’s late-season success and run the ball, play defense and let Pickett win it at the end? Or will Pickett play a conservative style, fearing turnovers?
