Indigenous Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has taken aim at ABC's political correspondent Laura Tingle after she controversially called Australia a racist country in a bizarre rant.

The staff-elected board member used her appearance as an opportunity to deliver stinging criticism of Opposition Leader Peter Dutton in reference to his budget reply speech less than two weeks ago. 2GB host Ben Fordham took issue with Tingle's comments and spoke to shadow Indigenous affairs minister Jacinta Nampijinpa Price who said she was"really disappointed" at Tingle's claims Australia was racist.
"I think she needs to probably get some help for the way she feels, because that is not a reflection of the country, that is her opinion." "Laura has demonstrated her bias and I think Kim Williams needs to explain why having someone so blatantly partisan sitting in the top political commentator position is acceptable.
"Because surely this doesn't help attract eyeballs to the ABC, when you've got the chief political correspondent Laura Tingle out there at a writers festival over the weekend saying 'We're a racist country, let's face it'.
