The sequel sees Taissa Farmiga return as Sister Irene, having to face the demonic Valak while working at a French boarding school. The film also features the return of Jonas Bloquet as Frenchie, who became a vessel for Valak at the end of The Nun.
Well, the whole movie, honestly. [Laughs] I think the newsstand sequence was probably the biggest one. With the scares, you're always trying to come up with something that's unique and memorable, and it was one of the earliest ideas that I had as we first started developing the movie. And literally, it was the longest, hardest journey to get that thing pulled off. Basically, I was working on that until the end.
