Isteri Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, Wan Azizah Binti Wan Ismail berkunjung ke Katedral Santa Perawan Maria Diangkat Ke Syurga Jakarta pada Januari 9. Terlebih dahulu, beliau mengunjungi Masjid Istiqlal kemudian, Wan Azizah dan rombongannya melalui Terowongan Silahturahmi melawat Katedral.Imam besar Masjid Istqlal, Nasaruddin Umar dan Kardinal Ignatius Suharyo menyambut kunjungan ini bersama Pengurus Badan Pengelola Masjid Istiqlal dan Katedral Jakarta.

Kardinal didampingi Fr Thomas Ulun Ismoyo, Fr Hani Rudi Hartoko, SJ, Fr Antonius Suyadi dan Susyana Suwadie. Wan Azizah tertarik terowongan Toleransi. Katanya, terowongan ini menjadi lambang persaudaraan antara iman di Indonesia. Beliau juga berterima kasih atas sambutan kedua-dua pemimpin agama Islam dan Katolik. Sementara itu, Kardinal Suharyo juga mengucapkan terima kasih atas kunjungan Wan Azizah.
