Israeli forces continue their military operations in the Gaza Strip during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, with no cease-fire in place. The IDF killed a Hamas militant and conducted wide-scale strikes in different areas of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces continued military operations across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces said, as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan entered its third day with no negotiated cease-fire in place. The IDF said its forces killed a Hamas militant accused of launching rockets toward Israel, including on Oct. 7. Neither the combatant nor the location was identified by the IDF .

Israeli forces said they also conducted “wide-scale strikes” in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, destroying militant infrastructure including “operational shafts and anti-tank launch posts.” In the south, the IDF said its troops were “intensifying operations” in the Hamad, Abasan and al-Qarara areas of Khan Younis, the largest city in southern Gaza. In Hamad, the IDF said its troops exchanged fire with combatants inside a compound and directed an aircraft to strike the area
