Israel’s foreign ministry on Monday slammed an upcoming report by Amnesty International UK accusing the country of apartheid — claiming the human rights organization was fueling antisemitism.

“Amnesty’s report effectively serves as a green light … to harm not only Israel, but Jews around the world,” a spokesman for the foreign ministry said in a statement obtained“Its extremist language and distortion of historical context were designed to demonize Israel and pour fuel onto the fire of antisemitism.”

The ministry urged Amnesty to without releasing the report, which is scheduled to be presented Tuesday at 11 a.m. local time during a press conference in a Jerusalem hotel, according to the online newspaper.Titled “Israel’s Apartheid Against Palestinians: Cruel System of Domination and Crime Against Humanity,” the report documents alleged crimes committed by Israel against Palestinians.

Israel Foreign Minister Yair Lapid released his own statement blasting the organization and the report. Amnesty UK “isn’t a human rights organization, but just another radical organization which echoes propaganda without seriously checking the facts,” Lapid said.Lapid said the accusations in the report are “delusional and disconnected from reality.”
