The federal opposition already supports the terrorist designation and Mr Cantor said pushing Australia to move against the Revolutionary Guard and its proxies “will be part of impending discussions with the Australian government”.It would extend to sanctions against any organisation or body that provided them with raw materials, funds, training, weapons, and any other means of support.
On the weekend, from bases in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, Iran and its proxies – Hezbollah, Iraqi Shi’ites, and the Yemeni Houthis – launched about 30 cruise missiles, 120 ballistic missiles and 170 drones towards Israel. “What we saw on the weekend with these missile and drone attacks was Iran doing something in its own name,” he said.
