Amid growing signs of Iranian involvement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet formally declared war on Hamas on Sunday, paving the way for Israel’s defence force to take “significant military steps” against the terror group. In one the bloodiest scenes of the violence, Israeli officials revealed at least 250 people had been massacred at aRavers were shot indiscriminately as they tried to flee, while others were abducted. Some though reported miraculous tales of survival as they hid for hours in ditches and orchards. “The decisions made by the Palestinian resistance are fiercely autonomous and unwaveringly aligned with the legitimate interests of the Palestinian people,” the mission said in a statement.
Following a closed-door, emergency meeting on Sunday US time, the United Nations Security Council ended in stalemate and failed to produce a statement condemning the attack.Both Israel and the US slammed China, a permanent member of the Security Council, for failing to condemn the attack and instead urging for a two-state solution.
