JERUSALÉN (AP) — Israel detuvo a cinco palestinos implicados en un complot supuestamente planeado en Irán para atacar y espiar a altos mandos políticos israelíes, entre ellos el ministro de Seguridad Nacional, de extrema derecha, informó el miércoles la agencia de seguridad interior del país.

La agencia de seguridad Shin Bet afirmó que un funcionario de seguridad iraní residente en la vecina Jordania había reclutado a tres hombres palestinos en Cisjordania, ocupada por Israel, y a otros dos ciudadanos palestinos de Israel para recabar información sobre varios políticos israelíes de alto perfil.

La misión de Irán ante las Naciones Unidas no respondió de inmediato a una solicitud de comentarios sobre las acusaciones.
