The first 42-day phase of the ceasefire and hostage-exchange agreement will begin on Sunday, when three of the 33 hostages slated to be released will be returned to Israel.
'Israel is losing the ability to destroy Hamas totally,' Amidror said. 'Israel is losing the ability to continue the momentum, and what will happen after the 42 days, no one knows.' The retired Major General pointed out that as the terms of the deal have not been made public, it is unclear what security agreement Israel has entered into with the U.S.
