PUTRAJAYA: Pahang, Penang and Melaka recorded the highest rate of conditional movement control order (MCO) compliance at 98%, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
“According to the police, the average percentage of compliance for the conditional MCO is 95%. This means that 5% of our population are not complying and I see this as high, ” he said in his daily briefing here on Wednesday .
“I have said that the police will no longer advise or warn people to comply. They will now take action against those who fail to follow the SOP or violate the conditional MCO. The task force to act on non-compliance reported to have conducted checks on 4,092 restaurants, 1,255 factories, 3,428 banks, 3,606 places of worship and 34,840 private vehicles on May 11.
