PETALING JAYA: More than 60 individuals were issued with compounds on Wednesday (May 27) for violating the conditional movement control order (MCO) by making Hari Raya Aidilfitri visits, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the police issued compounds to 728 individuals in total on Wednesday, of which 64 were given to individuals who had defied the conditional MCO to make Hari Raya visits.
A total of 187 individuals were arrested on the same day for violating the conditional MCO, he added. A total of 842 vehicles attempting interstate travel were asked to turn back, an increase from 824 vehicles on Tuesday , he added. “I want to remind Malaysians to follow the standard operating procedures and rules set by the government.
