‘It: Welcome to Derry’ Will Expand the Lore Close Sometime later this year, the new series will take fans back to Derry and investigate various catastrophic events that occur when Pennywise comes out of hibernation. “I think Welcome to Derry will continue the story in ways fans will really appreciate and really love. It'll fill in some gaps,” Mustafa teased. He further revealed that he has been to the series set where Muschietti gave him a tour.
