With the school year starting up again across Houston, student safety is rightfully back in the spotlight.

One of the many dangers our children face is their commute to school. Whether they are walking, riding a bike, or taking the bus to school, it takes a village to ensure they arrive safely.‘They’ll never ride the bus again:’ Fort Bend ISD mom says her 3 children were dropped off at wrong stop Last week, KPRC 2 spoke with Josh Dark about this important issue. His 14-year-old son, Logan, was hit by a driver while riding his bike to school. The Cinco Ranch High School freshman was in a crosswalk without working lights or a crossing guard at the time. Logan’s tragic death shows just how vital an adult with a reflective vest and a stop sign can be.
