Is the West End Making a Comeback? It Tastes That Way.

A new steakhouse and a couple of other restaurants have recently opened in the West End.

Our steak photos were too dark, so they shared this of a center-cut 6-ounce filet with two jumbo shrimp topped with Oscar topping.Originally John Neely Bryan established the area as a trading post in 1842. In the late 1970s, it was christened the West End Historic District and slowly began its climb to mid-'80s revelry.

Polished servers dote and the $12 Old Fashioneds feel like a steal. While chandeliers hang overhead, exposed brick walls remind diners that this building has some history.
