This weekend, 'SNL' will skip a live episode and re-broadcast two fan-favorite episodes, including one from earlier this season. The party will continue when Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Jelly Roll, Chris Martin and other 'SNL' musical alums perform live on “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert,” a three-hour special hosted by Jimmy Fallon streaming Feb. 14 on Peacock. Watch the ‘SNL’ premiere episode from 1975 Then, see how it all began by going back in time to watch the debut episode of 'SNL' in a special re-broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. That historic first episode originally aired on Oct. 11, 1975, and featured the show's original cast members — Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman and Chevy Chase — alongside guest host George Carlin and musical guests Janis Ian and Billy Preston. The debut also featured a zany appearance by guest comedian Andy Kaufman, who made viewers howl with his timeless lip-synched performance of the “Mighty Mouse” theme song.
