Another aspect of this season that seems unlikely, is Peter Shalulile not receiving the Player of the Season Award. The Namibian striker has scored an impressive 21 goals so far this campaign, after securing a phenomenal record of two hat-tricks in back-to-back matches. The 28-year-old is well on track to overtake Collins Mbesuma’s record of 25 goals in a single season.
The UEFA Champions League has reached the semi-finals with two Spanish teams and two English teams left. All four of these teams had to fight to get into the semi-finals but none more fairytale-like than Villareal after the Yellow-Submarine beat the Bavarian giants away, to reach this spot. Soccer Laduma international news correspondent Kurt Buckerfield says, “this Villareal story is beautiful.”
