Ohio State linebackers coach James Laurinaitis might have another solid class put together.

Official visit season has come and gone, meaning that Ohio State and every other program in the country is now awaiting decisions from some of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class.

The Glenville standout is one of the more physically impressive linebackers that Ohio State will have signed in recent seasons. He’s someone that can play any position at linebacker, and can be used as a pass-rusher. The comparisons to current Buckeye linebacker Arvell Reese are certainly reasonable here. Then there’s CJ Sanna, a linebacker that certainly has a college frame already. At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, he likely will be a Mike linebacker when he arrives in Columbus.Those two, paired with the 2025 class of Eli Lee, Riley Pettijohn and T.J. Alford, should make for a stellar two-year crop for linebackers coach James Laurinaitis.Ohio State was in the mix for five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, but the talented Georgia backer has narrowed down his list and will commit to a program that’s not Ohio State. The Buckeyes will lose Sonny Styles after this year, and should Reese have a standout season, perhaps him as well. That doesn’t take into account any transfers, either. But the majority of the room should return for the 2026 season, which means that Ohio State could indeed be finished recruiting at linebacker with just two pledges. As it stands now, there are not any easily identifiable targets on the board. Could that change in the coming weeks and months? Absolutely. But for now, Laurinaitis’ crop might be done.
