‘Off Campus’ star Stephen Kalyn has been in a long-term relationship with Victoria Lovatsis
“My fiancée has read all the books, so she actually kind of told me about them when she read them. I actually remember her reading, specifically,in a May 2026 interview, referring to Dean and Allie’s literary love story.
“I remember I kept looking at her and she’d read the book, but she’d always be . I’m like, ‘What are you reading? ’ She’s like, ‘Oh, nothing. ’” The actor continued, “She’s been a huge player and motivating me to get there and get here right now.
So, yeah, it’s really, really, really, really cool. ”The cast of Off Campus addressed the Prime Video show’s biggest changes from the books — and defended the decision to shift away from some of the most memorable moments.
“It’s definitely great to have the blueprint of this fabulous book series to start with, but adapting for a TV show is a little bit Kalyn and Lovatsis made their Instagram debut in 2017 — their fifth anniversary as a couple. ’s hockey romance series.
“From the moment I got the audition, I just felt like I knew this person. I was so confident in what I wanted to bring to this part,” Kalyn toldin May 2026.
“My fiancée read the books a long time ago, and her favorite character was Dean. So when they announced this show, she told me I had to audition. She said, ‘There’s no other option: You have to be Dean.
’”The start of their love story is also featured in season 1 of the Prime Video series, which was based on“Even though we do tease Dean and Allie a lot earlier than people expect, you are still left wanting a lot more,” Abdalla). Given that Dean and Allie are Garrett and Hannah’s respective best friends, it made sense to Adballa that their arc would be featured in season 1.
“Allie and Hannah’s story lines are so connected to one another that it just made a lot of sense to touch on that this season,” she told. “All the books, they build off of each other and they’re all connected.
