The Marvel Cinematic Universe's new 2026 release just dropped a major reveal, and it might be teasing the perfect new member of the franchise's recently introduced Avengers team. This year is a big one for the MCU's biggest franchise.
After all, for the first time since 2019's Avengers: Endgame, the MCU is getting ready to release a new Avengers movie. Avengers: Doomsday's story promises to flip the shared universe upside down, with several MCU and multiverse heroes coming together, and Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom taking the center stage. The film will feature at least two Avengers teams, one led by Captain America and the other being the former Thunderbolts. If Bullseye were to change, going from a villain to an anti-hero, then there is already a perfect team in the MCU for the character. That would be the MCU's New Avengers, formerly known as the Thunderbolts. The team is made up mainly of anti-heroes, including the likes of Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, John Walker, and more. Additionally, in the season 2 premiere, Matthew Lillard's Mr. Charles name-drops a person close to the New Avengers. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who was forced into bankrolling the New Avengers not to go to prison, was the one to help Fisk via phone call.
