In contrast, Van Duyne led the crowded field for vice chair in the early rounds of voting Wednesday, propelled by strong support from fellow Texans. The state has 25 Republicans in the House, more than any other. Van Duyne touted her experience in the private sector as a communications professional, working with Fortune 500 businesses and other clients.With seven candidates, and one eliminated in each round, some Republicans grumbled Wednesday as the balloting dragged on., Washington correspondent.
