One person is dead and another was injured Monday evening after a shooting at a Wingstop in Irving, according to police.

A man is in police custody following a fatal shooting Monday evening at an Irving restaurant, authorities say. In a social media post shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, Irving police said there was a “shooting incident” at a Wingstop near the intersection of Nursery Road and East Irving Boulevard. In a Tuesday news release, police said investigators believe the incident stemmed from an argument between a restaurant employee and Marc Leon, 22, who was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.Responding officers found two people, both of whom are adults, with injuries, according to police.
