While giving fans a look at the upcoming Blood Hunt event, Marvel seemingly just exposed Iron Man's upcoming, ultra-powerful armor.
In recent Iron Man comics, Tony Stark has revealed that he's secretly working on his "most dangerous armor yet," having recently had his former company and designs seized by the evil, mutant-hating billionaire Feilong. While fans have yet to officially see this armor - which will use the new super-metal known as mysterium - a preview of the upcoming event Blood Hunt seemingly offers an initial look.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Presented by Marvel in its 'Next Big Thing' panel at New York Comic Con, Blood Hunt is coming from Jed MacKay, Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia. In a sprawling preview image from Leinil Francis Yu, Iron Man is being attacked while wearing a previously unseen suit of armor - this armor appears to be the upcoming mysterium suit.
The red and black armor is a new suit, and it appears more form-fitting than previous models, with specific silver-gray armored sections. It uses primarily red and black, with glowing blue decals. The silvery parts of the armor match how mysterium has been depicted so far.
Iron Man Goes Back to the Drawing Board for His New Armor In X-Men #26, the narration confirms that "by night, was designing his most dangerous armor yet, one he was content to die in if need be." In the meantime, he's been using his Mark Nil armor - augmented with select powers stolen from other Avengers - however it's essentially a glorified stealth suit.
Iron Man's New Armor Promises a Major Power Upgrade While there's an outside chance that Blood Hunt features another new suit after his upcoming mysterium armor, the timeframe makes it more likely that this teaser image is the first look at Tony's Orchis-beating suit. The suit has the look of Tony's black, gold and purple Model 39 armor, or his Age of Ultron body-suit, however it undoubtedly packs even more of a punch.
