‘It’s a huge mysterious crater that looks out of this world, but is it?’

‘The unusual hole on Portmarnock beach stopped local astrophysics enthusiast Dave Kennedy in his tracks yesterday and he’s certain that the small but heavy rock inside it came from up above,’ she continued.

Dave was then shown explaining: ‘As you can tell by here, there’s a scorch mark, so that would have been on the angle it came down at and it’s weighty, but I’m not sure of its composition but we are definitely going to have to find out. The report then showed passers-by inspecting the hole, who were apparently ‘hoping what they are witnessing is the aftermath of a once-in-a lifetime cosmic event’.

But unfortunately for them, the hole was the result of a man-made event, with a group of mates digging it during a beach day.After the report went to air, the real culprit of the crater was revealed by someone on social media who wrote: ‘Lads I’m in bits.
