Permanent TSB customers to be hit with online delay this week
No electronic Euro payments can be sent to other Banks in Ireland or abroad as result of a European Bank Holiday.If you are paid on the first day of every month, then you may not receive your wages on time. They will arrive in your account on Thursday if your employer has not made any allowances.
"As a result, the Euro currency clearing system is closed on that day and no electronic Euro payments can be made to external bank accounts on that day. Transactions between two Permanent TSB accounts are not affected. However, should you submit a payment to an external bank account on May,1 and this will not be processed until May, 2.
This comes after thousands of Permanent TSB, AIB and Bank of Ireland customers were affected by a major delay in payments last week.
