Iran says Argentina's bid to arrest minister over 1994 Jewish centre attack is 'illegal'

Relatives of victims of a bomb attack on the Jewish community centre of the Mutual Israelite Association of Argentina that killed 85 people and injured 300, hold photos during its 28th anniversary, in Buenos Aires, Argentina , in July 2022.

The minister, Ahmad Vahidi, is now under an Interpol red notice, shortly after returning to Iran from a trip abroad. On April 12, a court in Argentina placed blame on Iran for the 1994 attack against the Mutual Israelite Association of Argentina Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires and for a bombing two years earlier against the Israeli embassy, which killed 29 people.
