Iran and Israel shattered the fragile ceasefire between the two countries with an exchange of missile strikes after Israel launched an attack on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon on Sunday.
President Donald Trump claimsare pursuing an"immediate ceasefire" after the two countries exchanged missile strikes on Sunday.
"Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate CEASEFIRE! Final negotiations on 'Peace' are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way," Trump wrote in a psot on Truth Social.
"The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a 'Final Deal' is reached. Things should move quickly. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Israeli Defense Forces confirmed strikes against Iranian ballistic missile production facilities late Sunday night.
"A short while ago, dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets, directed by the IDF Intelligence Directorate, completed a large-scale strike on strategic defense systems belonging to the Iranian terror regime," the IDF said in a statement. "The targeted infrastructure produced unique materials that serve as critical components for the development of ballistic missiles, which pose a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians," it added.
