U.S. Central Command confirmed conducting strikes on Iranian targets on Tuesday in response to attacks by Tehran that were either thwarted by American forces and their allies or never reached their intended targets.

The U.S. military said all Iranian strikes were either stopped or did not reach their targets. U.S. Central Command released footage of a Hellfire missile hitting a ship trying to run its blockade of Iranian ports.

U.S. Central Command confirmed conducting strikes on Iranian targets on Tuesday in response to attacks by Tehran that were either thwarted by American forces and their allies or never reached their intended targets. The U.S. military described its strikes on Qeshm Island as self-defense after Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at targets in Kuwait and Bahrain. The missiles either did not reach their destination, fell apart en route, or were stopped by U.S. or Bahraini air defense forces.

No U.S. troops were injured nor were any American assets damaged in either attack, CENTCOM stated. U.S. Central Command released new footage Tuesday showing a Hellfire missile striking a ship as it attempted to run the U.S. blockade of American ports. CENTCOM also reported disabling a ship that had tried to run the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports. The military released a video showing a Hellfire missile striking the engine room of a Botswana-flagged ship.

The ship’s crew had ignored multiple warnings over a 24-hour period prior to the incident, the military noted. It is the sixth vessel disabled by U.S. forces since the blockade began. Another 122 have been forced to alter their course.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is pushing back on reports that peace talks between the U.S. and Iran have ceased. In a post, the president wrote that negotiations have been continuous and warned Iranian leaders, "It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a deal.

"Oil prices increased over 1% early Wednesday as attacks from both U.S. and Iran have increased, according to Reuters. Brent Crude is up $1.05 to $97.05 a barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.01 to $94.77. Both are at a one-week-high. Information for this article was taken from The Associated Press, Truth Social, U.S. Central Command. This story was reported from Orlando.
