In Iran, explosions were heard around Tehran and the port city of Bandar Abbas, as well as areas along the Strait of Hormuz. Its military responded with strikes targeting the nations of Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, all of which host U.S. troops. President Trump told Fox News he spoke with top Iranian officials who made a plea to him to stop the U.S. bombing attacks.
Additionally, 49 Tomahawk missiles along with fighter jets targeting radar and air defense systems were involved in the U.S. operation, Trump told the network.
