IPOH: The police have arrested two men who allegedly assaulted an ustaz here.
When contacted, Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan said the two men, aged between 30 and 70, were being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
This followed a press statement from Perak Maahad Tahfiz Al Quran Association chairman Datuk Mohd Azlan Suhaimi on the association's Facebook page on Dec 26 saying that Ustaz Halim Din had been beaten up following an intrusion at the Al Khalidiah Maahad tahfiz in Kampung Sri Kinta here.The youth was among a group of boys who intruded into the tahfiz's premises to play football on Dec 25.
