A GROUP of Indian folk musicians led by the Ipoh-based Sebasthiyar Kalaikkodam will attempt a record-setting performance of folk music, Malaysia Nanban reported.
It’s founder, Iruthayam Seban-sthiyar, said that a 30-minute performance will attempt to have the most number of folk musicians play at the same time.
The attempt, the first involving Indian folk music in the country, is supported by the Ipoh Hindu Devasthana Paribalana Sabha. > Hutan Melintang-based entrepreneur Arvind Appalasamy has won the national-level Anugerah Perdana Belia Negara 2022 award for his social work for youth, the daily also reported.
As part of his work with the Perak Indian Youth Council, the budding entrepreneur also gave speeches on youth issues in the youth parliaments of 12 countries.
