The phones still worked, but the front and back glass covers shattered even worse. Interestingly, the second corner drop on the iPhone 17 Pro Max broke the main camera's focus. The conclusion is that you'll need protective gear for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, including screen covers and cases, to reduce the risk of accidental damage.
