Mark's mother Debbie suddenly finds herself alone after a 20-year relationship with a man who was hiding his true nature the entire time. Omni-Man is quick to dismiss her in his final showdown with Mark, but he seems to have an uncharacteristic soft spot for his son. Omni-Man could return to Earth at any time, or he could be off wreaking havoc somewhere in the distant cosmos.
6 The Mauler Twins Are In Prison When Invincible Season 2 Begins The Mauler twins are a perennial highlight of Invincible season 1. They're always waiting for a fight to break out, if they aren't fighting each other over which one of them is the original and which is the clone. At the end of season 1, their plan to revive The Immortal to crush the Guardians backfires catastrophically. It takes a whole army of invisible guards to show up for the twins to reluctantly surrender.
When Mark is in trouble against Omni-Man, the Guardians know they aren't powerful enough to defend him. They decide instead to help everyone who has been injured in Omni-Man's destructive wake. Their altruism is a positive sign, but it won't help them against Invincible season 2's villain Angstrom Levy. The comics show that Levy can create portals which summon evil figures from alternate dimensions.
3 William Knows Mark's Secret Amber isn't the only person who knows that Mark is Invincible. The events at Upstate University also cause William to discover Mark's secret. William is Mark's best friend, so he probably would have found out the truth one way or another. Nevertheless, Mark could be in deep trouble if his real identity falls into the wrong hands.
