Damien Darkblood standing in front of the moon and holding his hat in Invincible season 4

There are all kinds of powerful characters in the Invincible universe, but the show may have just introduced one who is stronger than any Viltrumite. Viltrumites are known for being some of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, with the entirety of season 4, episode 2 being dedicated to showing how difficult it is to find things that Viltrumites are weak to.

However, Mark may have accidentally come across another weapon against the Viltrumites in episode 4, as this new villain is seemingly unkillable. Invincible season 4, episode 4 has received mixed reception, as it screeches the show's overarching story to a halt. In it, Mark is pulled to Hell by Damien Darkblood, who hasn't properly been seen since he was banished from Earth in season 1. Damien needs help fighting off a new evil that is attempting to take over Hell, and the demon detective knows that Omni-Man can do it. However, Damien's summoning spell literally pulls Mark out of his ongoing story and into the caverns deep below Earth, where he must face off against one of Invincible's most powerful characters. Volcanikka Seems Impossible To Beat In Invincible Season 4, Episode 4 Volcanikka is a new character who is introduced in Invincible season 4, episode 4, and she is easily one of the most powerful villains the show has offered so far. According to Damien, Volcanikka is a remnant from the Fourth Age of Earth, with the magma-powered queen holding a grudge against the demons of the Fifth Age and the humans of the Sixth Age. She hopes to kill Satan and conquer the Under Realm, where she plans on growing her power and attacking the surface. Volcanikka is a major threat to Hell due to her vast array of abilities. She is an incredibly skilled fighter, with her facing off against the demons of the Under Realm and defeating them in the episode and multiple times off-screen. She can control lava and the rocky terrain of the Under Realm, allowing her to burn, cut, and turn the demons into magma rocks. On top of that, she also controls an army of Magmanites and the Vile, with her using her seemingly endless soldiers to wage a war against Satan. Damien knows that they can't beat Volcanikka alone, causing him to summon Invincible. After Damien and Mark work together to retrieve Satan's crown, they decide to try again. Once in battle, however, Volcanikka nearly wins again. She defeats several of the demons, and even almost instantly incapacitates the powered-up Satan. She is only defeated when Mark punches her head off, but this doesn't last long. Volcanikka's head keeps growing back, and after being decapitated a few times, she disappears into the lava of the Under Realm. This fight with Mark proves that Volcanikka is seemingly impossible to defeat, with her only being weakened for a short time. The best that the demons can hope for is to hold her off, as her unkillable nature makes her difficult to deal with. This makes Volcanikka one of Invincible's most powerful villains, as she possesses a level of invincibility that even the Viltrumites don't have. Posts 1 By Robert Pitman Volcanikka Is Set Up To Return After The Viltrumite War Volcanikka's story may not be over, as she could return in Invincible's future. The ending of episode 4 proves that the Viltrumite War is Invincible's next big story. Because of this, the show probably won't revisit Damien or the Under Realm for a while, although it is impossible to say since this Volcanikka story isn't in the comics. However, Volcanikka promised to return before disappearing, meaning that this war isn't over yet. It isn't known if Mark will be involved, but since Satan has a plan to visit the surface, it is likely that Mark will be facing off against the beings of the Fourth and Fifth Ages in the future of Invincible. 195 8.9/10 8/10 Invincible 10 stars 9 stars 8 stars 7 stars 6 stars 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars 2 stars 1 star Like Follow Followed TV-MA Animation Adventure Action Superhero Release Date March 26, 2021 Network Amazon Prime Video Showrunner Robert Kirkman, Simon Racioppa Writers Robert Kirkman Franchise Invincible Cast See All
