This week, drug task force agents in Ohio seized more than $14.6 million in drugs and $1 million in cash in separate seizures along on I-70 in Clark and Madison counties.

Authorities also seized a total of $935,000 in a separate case in Clark County.CLEVELAND, Ohio – A drug task force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol confiscated more than $14 million in drugs and nearly $1 million in cash in separate stops along Interstate 70 this week.
The seizures are two of the largest ever made in the state, according to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost’s office. The task force is a part of the Ohio Organized Crime Investigation Commission, which aims to seize drugs, weapons and cash obtained from illegal activities. “Drug traffickers intent on delivering destruction to central Ohio should take note that our task force and our partners are watching,” Yost said in a statement.
The first seizure took place Saturday when authorities stopped a commercial vehicle on Interstate 70 in Madison County. Troopers and agents seized 300 pounds of methamphetamine, over 17 pounds of cocaine and 30 pounds of marijuana, according to Yost’s office.On Tuesday, investigators pulled over another commercial vehicle they suspected was involved in drug trafficking along I-70 in Clark County. Officers confiscated more than $935,000 in cash from the vehicle.
